Terms of Use
Effective: 28 September 2026
Last changed: 8 October 2026
1. Who provides the service
The Adriba app and the adriba.eu website are provided by Adriba d.o.o.
- Full legal name: Adriba društvo s ograničenom odgovornošću za informatičke usluge i trgovinu
- Address: Viktora Cara Emina 6, 52000 Pazin, Croatia
- OIB (tax identification number): 78069317416
- Court register number (MBS): 130176392
- Email: info@adriba.eu
By creating an account or using the app you accept these terms. If you do not agree with them, do not use the app.
2. What Adriba is, and what it is not
Adriba is a tool for sea fishing: a catch log, weather and sea conditions, a map, patterns drawn from your own catches, and a fishing assistant.
Adriba is not:
- a navigation device. The map and the depths are indicative. Use official nautical charts and equipment for navigation.
- a legal source. Closed seasons, minimum sizes, licences and restrictions change. Treat what the app shows as a warning, not as proof. Check the official source for the area you fish before you go.
- a weather service. The forecast comes from public providers and can be wrong.
- a guarantee of a catch. Patterns and recommendations are a calculation from past data, not a promise.
3. Your account
- You must be at least 16 years old to have an account.
- The details you enter when registering must be truthful.
- You are responsible for access to your own account. If you think someone else has got into it, tell us.
- One account is for one person.
You can delete your account at any time in the app. Deletion is final.
4. Your content
The catches, photos, notes, routes and spots you enter remain yours. We take no ownership of them and we do not sell them.
So that the app can work, you grant us a limited, royalty-free licence to store, process and display your content: to you, and to those you have enabled yourself (friends, participants of a shared trip, the public list if you turn it on). The licence exists only for the operation of the service and ends when you delete the content or the account.
Exact coordinates, notes, location names and recorded routes are stored encrypted and we cannot read them. See the Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for the content you upload. Do not upload content that is not yours, that infringes the rights of others, or that shows an unlawful catch.
5. Sharing with friends
When you hand a trip or a catch over to a friend, their device makes its own copy. From that moment it is their record: they edit it, and your later changes or deletions do not affect it. This is deliberate and not a fault. Think it through before handing something over.
6. The fishing assistant and creator knowledge
The fishing assistant (VprašAI) uses an AI model. Its answers can be wrong. Do not use them as the only basis for a decision about safety or about what you are allowed to keep.
The app can also answer in the voice of a selected content creator, based on material that creator has published and consented to. The creator is not our employee and is not answerable for the replies you read. Consent can be withdrawn at any time; when it is, we remove that creator's material from the app.
The rule we hold ourselves to: the app must not put a sentence in a creator's mouth that they did not say. Even so, this is software, and the best safeguard is still not a guarantee.
7. Acceptable use
While using Adriba you must not:
- harvest data by automated means or load the service beyond normal use,
- attempt to reach other users' data,
- turn the app into a dataset for resale,
- circumvent technical limits or security mechanisms,
- use the service for unlawful fishing.
If these terms are breached, we may suspend or permanently disable the account.
8. Price
Adriba is currently free. Paid plans are in preparation.
When they become available:
- you will subscribe through the App Store or Google Play, not directly with us,
- renewal, cancellation and refund terms are those of that store,
- you cancel in your Apple or Google account settings,
- as a consumer you keep every right applicable law gives you, including the right of withdrawal where it applies.
We will not turn features that are free today into paid ones without warning. We will tell you about such a change in advance.
9. Safety at sea and compliance with the rules
This is the most important part of these terms.
- Your safety is your responsibility. The sea is dangerous. Adriba cannot judge for you whether it is safe to go out today.
- Compliance with fishing regulations is your responsibility. Licences, closed seasons, minimum sizes, daily limits and closed areas are yours to observe. What the app shows is indicative and may be outdated or wrong.
- Where they disagree, the official source wins, not the app.
10. Availability
We work to keep the service running, but we do not promise uninterrupted operation. Maintenance, provider failures and outages happen. Individual features may change or be discontinued. We will tell you about significant changes.
11. Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for:
- loss arising from a decision made on the basis of data or recommendations in the app,
- lost catch, lost time or lost profit,
- data loss caused by losing your phone or forgetting the PIN for key recovery,
- the operation of the third-party services listed in the Privacy Policy.
This section does not limit liability for intent or gross negligence, for harm to health or life, and does not affect mandatory consumer rights.
Because your sensitive data is encrypted with a key only you hold, we cannot undo the loss of that key. That is the price of the privacy the app offers, and you accept it by using it.
12. Termination
You can delete your account at any time. We may close your account if you breach these terms or if we discontinue the service. If we discontinue the service, we will tell you in advance and give you a reasonable period to export your data.
13. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. The new text is published on this page and the date at the top is updated. For significant changes we will tell you in the app or by email. If you do not agree with a change, stop using the service and delete your account.
14. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Croatia, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer, this does not remove the protection given to you by the law of your country of residence.
The courts of the Republic of Croatia have jurisdiction. As a consumer you may also use the European online dispute resolution platform.
